Protocols, Witnesses & Digils
Authenticated operators may upload assets that serve as witness or target samples inside the instrument interfaces they have been assigned. Supported formats are text documents, still images, and short video files. These materials are stored in the operator’s private workspace and can be called into any accessible system during a session.
Once placed, a witness or target provides a concrete reference point for the protocol. The operator works with rates, dials, or other controls while the sample remains present on the instrument surface, creating a bounded field for focused observation.
Digils (Digital Sigils)
Certain systems can generate Digils (digital sigils). A Digil is a procedurally created geometric image accompanied by a randomized name. The geometry forms an encoded snapshot of the instrument’s state at the moment the Digil was produced: the rates that were set, the active banks or modules, and any other relevant tool values.
Operators may download a Digil for external use or reintroduce it into a later session as a witness or target. In this way a Digil functions both as a record of a specific configuration and as a reusable reference object within subsequent protocols. Operators can post these Digils on websites, give them to other operators and the copies retain the function of the original.
Asset management and Digil generation controls appear inside each system after authentication.
